OnSSET is a GIS-based optimization tool developed to support electrification planning and decision making
for achieving energy access goals in currently unserved locations. The toolβs flexible and modular codebase
allows customization of analysis resolution, GIS input data, technology types and costs, and electrification policies
as needed.
OnSSET is a dynamic open-source project: improvements are integrated in real time and guided by a steering committee.
Membership and contributions are open to everyone.
An interactive open-access tool for exploring least-cost electrification pathways globally.
An OnSSET-based case study showing how open data supports SDG7 achievement.
The first large-scale application of OnSSET for Sub-Saharan Africa.
A study applying scenario discovery for least-cost electrification modelling.
Using spatial modelling to incorporate justice into electricity pricing frameworks.
